Hello! We’re the Medway Lonely Laptop Club, a community that brings together remote workers who experience loneliness in their working lives, to chat and meet like-minded people in Medway.
Whether you work from a home office, coffee shop, a relative’s or beyond, our community welcomes you to new friendships,
a shared camaraderie of working life and an escape from the loneliness of remote working.

We get together at Dragon Coworking and can use their hotdesking facilities between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Anyone who works alone is welcome. Whether you’re a freelancer, remote employee, small business owner, creative, student, or someone who simply prefers working outside the house, the club is open to you.
Does it cost anything to attend?
No - the Lonely Laptop Club is completely free to attend. The aim is to make it easy and accessible for anyone who works solo to connect with others and improve their wellbeing.
What happens at a meetup?
Meetups are relaxed and informal. People bring their laptops, get some work done, enjoy tea or coffee, and chat with others when they want to. There’s no pressure to network — it’s simply a friendly space to work and connect.

No. We’re building a growing national network of Lonely Laptop Clubs hosted in coworking spaces across the UK, helping solo and remote workers everywhere find community, connection, and a healthier way to work.

How Does It Work?
1. Complete the registration form.
2. Once approved and the T’s & C’s are signed, we’ll send you a brand pack and some basic guidelines.
3. Set up a Facebook group for your club.
4. Create your first event using your preferred ticketing system (Eventbrite, Ticket Tailor, etc.).
5. Promote your event and welcome your first Lonely Laptop members!

Can anyone host a Lonely Laptop Club?
While the club is primarily aimed at independent coworking space owners, anyone passionate about creating community is welcome. Fill out the form, and we’ll get back to you.
How much does it cost to become a host?
Hosting is completely free. It’s our gift to independent coworking space owners to support their local communities.
Can we charge members for tea, coffee, or Wi-Fi?
To be a Lonely Laptop Club host, we ask that you provide free access to the basics you offer your members daily—desk space, Wi-Fi, tea, and coffee. Many hosts also like to add little extras like cakes.
Can we add extras to our club?
Absolutely! Some clubs enhance the day with activities like lunch-and-learns, a lunchtime walk, or other community events. The choice is yours—get creative and make it your own.
How often do the clubs run?
The club runs monthly on a day of your choice, but we ask that it consistently be on the same day each month. We recommend hours from 9 AM to 4 PM to give members plenty of time to work and connect.
Will my existing members mind that we’re giving away free space?
Actually, most members are thrilled to welcome new people and see their community grow! It’s a good idea to communicate with your.
